I don't know what your intended tone was, but I think the fact that you were impassioned enough to write a post like this says a lot.

Personally I couldn't care less about the socially constructed rules regarding the appropriate type and style of fabric that one wears to cover their body (a.k.a., "fashion"). I figure as long as you are not leaving the house naked, I have no say over what clothes you choose to wear. Forcing someone to stop wearing certain clothes/shoes just because they do not meet *your* sensibilities is self-serving and rude. If you don't like white pants, cargo pants, or running shoes, don't wear them. Problem solved!

I hope it is obvious that I would never actually make my final judgement of someone based on their outfit choice. This is the problem with the internet. Tone seems to get obscured...

p.s. I had a look at the 'About' section of your blog. I'm an INTP. Turns out we're probably not as different (at least personality wise) as you might have imagined!

Greetings LSL. You should indeed make the leap of faith and invest in a Bronx ticket when they are here. I've seen them every time they've been here and twice in the U.S and its always been something special.

They have this ridiculous energy and repore with their aussie fans. Its hot blooded and crazy but in a good way.

I was fortunate enough to see Mariachi El Bronx Bronx in Austin earlier in the year and i can say we're in for a treat. Mexican and Bronx is the perfect mix..

I'm coming at this from another side entirely. As a male, I hate seeing women in make-up. My generalization is that if I can tell you're wearing make-up, you're wearing too much. Not only do I agree with you on the absurd amount of money the example women spend, but I also suspect that you spend too much time, rather than money, on how you look each day. While I understand your reasons to a certain extent, I still think it is a waste.

In my experience, make-up rarely makes a person look better. It only makes them look different. This is a qualitative rather than quantitative measurement and is thus entirely subjective- others not only can, but will disagree. Yet having spent significant time on the stage, I know that the usual use of stage make-up is to prevent actors from getting a 'washed out' look under the lights- to highlight their features. There are also the more obvious uses. At least twice I've played the role of men well into old age, parts I could never have played believably without the assistance of make-up. So if you wish to masquerade as something other than yourself, sure, make-up is reasonable. The same is true with extraordinary conditions such as bright stage or set lights. Otherwise? Come as you are.
